Immune Boosting Winter Remedy
When I was studying at university, I had an incredible teacher who would constantly give us little tips, tricks and interesting bits of information. In one session she mentioned a broth she makes for her and her family when they’re coming down with something or are sick. Since then, I’ve made up the recipe countless times. It’s quick, easy and super effective!
What you’ll need:
- 10 cloves of garlic
- A thumb of ginger
- Juice of 2 lemons
- 1 red chilli (you may wish to omit this with children)
- Honey
What you need to do:
- Brew all of the ingredients (minus the honey) in a pot of filtered water and bring to the boil.
- Simmer for 20 minutes, then strain and chill the mix to drink.
- You may like to add some raw honey to the mix when you’re drinking, for its immune enhancing benefits, as well as to soothe the throat.
- Drink cups throughout the day to improve immunity, enjoy!
